Finished this painting in 2024, but it always bothered me. I wasn’t exactly happy with it, but I wasn’t sure why. Sometimes that happens and I convince myself it’s my perfectionism eating my brain. And then I let it go because I’m not down with the whole perfectionism baggage anymore. It’s a bad set up. But sometimes it really is the painting. I’m glad I went back in. It’s always a risky endeavor, though. Sometimes when you go back in, you lose what was working well. This time, I finally pinpointed what was annoying me. I think the operation was a success.
