I really enjoy the symbolism and raw emotion of this painting. I told myself to focus on the language of my work. Images and colors which stand in for what I might say if I shouted from a park bench or the back of a bus or the middle of a staff meeting.

I’m proud of this painting because I took a lot of chances. I tried some things that didn’t work, but I didn’t give up on the piece. And I’m glad I didn’t because it came together. Thanks to my art group for telling me when it was done.
